Do you want to explore the Indian Western Ghats?

Wild Western Ghats - Munnar to Kodai

Welcome to the western ghats, a natural treat...

This has been one of my most memorable hikes ever.  This Trail took us from Kerala Forests into Tamil Nadu forests.
Trail crosses through two tribal isolated habitats which are cut off from society and through banned crop cultivation areas. The most scenic route is through Top station, Koviloor, Bandaravu Mala, Kilavara (32 km). It's an adventures route, for about 18 kms through thick forests.

Note: - This isn't really a hike, its a motorbike or Jeep expedition

Top Station-Koviloor (10 km)
Koviloor-Kilavara ( 30 km)
Kilavara-Kodaikanal (45 km

How to get there?

Anamudi Shola National Park is where I would suggest you to start,

A word of caution. No one  is going to give you a trail map so accurate to do it on your own. suggest to plan you trip in advance,  find a tribal tour guide around the villages near Anamudi Shola National park. They would know the routes better. You will find a lot of them in the nearby towns like Kanthalloor town, Chilanthiyaar or Koviloor

Organizers:

I would recommend you to follow http://www.chennaitrekkers.org/ who organize such beautiful trips. You will have a lot less to worry about.
