Fun PC games to play at work 

Pretend and play...

Are you bored ? Is your boss away? Need a break during peak hours? or do you have so much on your to-do list  and you dont know where to start? Here is the trick.

We all unlike machines need a break to unwind ourselves during a hectic schedule and refresh a bit. Games are not just for kids, they are very useful to break your stress.Today's technology broke the PC games trend and we have Gaming devices, mobile games for  android IOS and a countless no of choices to choose from. But when at work we are left with no choice except to stare at the PC and pretend to be productive even if you are bored to death.


Most work locations don't allow downloading installing games. Even if they allow, a lot of other factors matter. Playing a game without being caught is a night mare and that's going to be more stressful. 

Well how about playing games without being caught? Here is a technique. A note before I begin. This is definitely not a New Technique. This has been out there for decades. But am dusting the old books. Embed Flash Games to Excel/Word, Just embed the games with one of the most use software in your company - that right its Microsoft Excel and WORD. Just pretend and play..



How to embed a flash file into EXCEL or WORD?

Office  2010 and Later
Enable the developer tab - To do this Go to EXCEL, Right click on the Ribbon below menu bar, select Customize Ribbon, and then check Developer check-box. 

Then on the developers tab under Controls  scroll over Insert to access More controls

Older versions

From the 'View' menu select 'Toolbars' and tick the 'Control Toolbox'. On the 'Control Toolbox' toolbar click on the 'More controls' icon

A list of controls will be displayed. Scroll down until you find the 'Shockwave Flash Object' and then click on it.

Excel

This should change your cursor to a crosshair. Move to the area on the worksheet where you want to inset the 'Shockwave Flash Object'.
Left click, hold and drag to create a box of the required size.

Word

Word will automatically insert the control where the cursor is.
It's size can be set by dragging the edges or via it's 'Properties'

Next right click on the control you have just inserted and select 'Properties'.

Set the following properties

• Autoload = True
• EmbedMovie = True
• Enabled = True
• Loop = True
• Playing = True
• Visible = True
• Movie = c:\flash.swf (Change this to the location of your .swf file)

Close the 'Properties' control. Save the file. Close the file. Reopen the file.

The .swf file should start playing automatically.

Copter Challenge
My personal favorite, an Arcade game, you need to keep the copter stable and slip away thru the wall blocks. Very addictive, easy to score at the beginning but gets tougher .
One thing you should be careful about, the mouse clicks. ensure you have a silent mouse.

Air Fighting

This is an action game to play. Very interesting game and keeps you hooked. Again this is all with your mouse, if you have a pretty silent mouse, you will hardly be caught. Watch out for  the fire grenades baby...

Daemons

Yet another simple arcade game. Separate the daemons (red balls) from the angels (blue). This is very ideal if you have a sneaky boss beside. You can play the whole game without a click. Yes am serious. All you need to do is time and move the mouse  up and down.

GOLF
Did you miss the golf last weekend? or is it too cold to play outside? Dont worry, if you are a sports person here is the one for you. The effort to play this involves few clicks (that actually good, rather than being too noisy or too silent) and lost of stages to go.

Mini Pool
If you like the ball game this is the one for you. just like golf this has decent number of clicks.

Ping Brick
Test your reflex action. This arcade game is sure to rise your heart beat up. Its a pretty silent shot and like the Deamons you only need to move the mouse left and right instead.
